HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Hall County deputies are investigating two drive-by shootings that happened over the weekend. A teenager was hurt in one shooting; a vehicle was damaged in the other.

The sheriff's office said both shootings were reported to deputies early Saturday.

Deputies were first called to a home along Shallowford Road in Gainesville just after 2:30 a.m. That's where authorities found a 15-year-old boy shot in the arm. Adults and children were in the home but no one else was hurt, the sheriff's office said.

Gunfire went off again just after 3 a.m. by a home along Crow Drive in Gainesville, investigators said. Deputies found a vehicle damaged by "apparent gunfire" - no one was hurt.

Three people were detained for questioning Saturday, according to the sheriff's office. They were released and do not face charges at this time.

Evidence shows that the two shootings are related and were targeted - not random, according to investigators. More witnesses are being questioned.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office.
