Georgia State University police looking for 'armed and dangerous' teen they say robbed a student

The robbery occurred on campus on Oct. 10.

ATLANTA — Georgia State University police put out an alert for an "armed and dangerous" teen who they say robbed a student earlier this month at gunpoint. 

Tyrell Curry, 17, has active warrants for armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a felony. 

Police said a male student was walking along Decatur Street and Collins Street on Oct. 10 when he was suddenly approached by two men. They demanded the student's backpack and cell phone. 

The student was not physically injured. 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Curry is asked to call Georgia State University police at 404-413-3182 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
