2 arrested during child internet crimes investigation in Gwinnett County, sheriff's office says

The sheriff's office Trafficking and Child Exploitation unit and Gang unit worked together to track down the two people.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Two people are now behind bars after they were allegedly involved in child internet crimes in Gwinnett County, according to the sheriff's office

The sheriff's office Trafficking and Child Exploitation unit and Gang unit worked together to track down the two people.

Vinicio Adulfo Barrios Maldonado was arrested in January, and Mohamed Lamine Diaby was recently arrested for allegedly engaging in explicit conversations and planning to meet up with a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity.

Maldonado was charged with a criminal attempt to commit a felony, obscene internet contact with a child, and use of a computer to seduce a child. 

The sheriff's office charged Diaby with human trafficking, criminal attempt child molestation, obscene internet contact with a child, and enticing a child.
