Arrest made in fatal April shooting outside Magic City; Man charged with murder

Camryn Price was rushed into surgery in critical condition, where she later died. Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office said she was from South Carolina.

ATLANTA — A man was charged with murder for allegedly shooting and killing a woman leaving a popular strip club, Magic City, in Atlanta back in April.

Jacori Echols was arrested on Nov. 8 and charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

The shooting happened on April 4 around 3 a.m.; officers said that someone shot from one car into another, hitting 21-year-old Camryn Price. There were two people in the car, and while the other person was hurt, police clarified that it was not from gunfire.

Price was rushed into surgery in critical condition, where she later died. Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office said she was from South Carolina.

Officers at the time said they were unsure if the incident stemmed from the club itself and had not given an update on what the motive could be.
