As part of the plea deal, Kelly must testify against three other people charged in the Oct. 5 death of 58-year-old Gail Spencer.

One of Kelly's co-defendants worked with Spencer before she was killed. Authorities have said the two and two others were embezzling money from the law firm Spencer worked for. Officials have said the four stole about $1.3 million from the firm.

It's not clear why the four suspects targeted Spencer.
