1 killed, 1 injured in shooting in DeKalb County, police say

Initial information shows the two knew each other and were involved in a fight that led to the shooting.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A man was shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon in DeKalb County, according to police. 

DeKalb County Police said that just before 2:50 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Camellia Lane in Lithonia to a person shot. When officers showed up, they said they found a 25-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound.

Shortly after this, police said a 47-year-old man arrived at a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

The shooting happened just off DeKalb Medical Parkway, which is just down the street from Emory Hillandale Hospital.

Initial information shows the two knew each other and were involved in a fight that led to the shooting, police said.
