ATLANTA — A man is dead after being shot multiple times near a gas station near Georgia State's campus, according to Atlanta Police.
The Georgia State University Police Department said that the incident occurred around the RaceTrac parking lot. A spokesperson also stated the victim was not a GSU student, and it appeared that all parties involved were not students.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers said they found a man who had multiple gunshot wounds once they arrived. They stated he was pronounced dead on the scene.
Just last year, this same area was plagued by multiple shootings, prompting some GSU students to say they felt a lack of safety on campus in the wake of the violence off campus.
