Man found shot in vehicle in Buford, dies in hospital: Authorities

Gwinnett County detectives believe two people may be involved.

BUFORD, Ga. — Gwinnett County Police have launched a homicide investigation Monday in Buford after a man was found shot in a vehicle.

Officers were called just before 3 a.m. to a home on Allen Street for a person shot call where they found a man inside a parked vehicle shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died, detectives said. He has been identified as 35-year-old Quentin Cantrell. 

Police canvassed the area searching for suspects. Detectives said they are following leads and trying to identify at least two other people who may have been involved. 

Authorities are still investigating a motive behind the shooting.
