BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — A person was shot in Brookhaven around a shopping center on Sunday evening, police said.
According to the Brookhaven Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Johnson Ferry Road and Ashford Dunwoody Road about a person shot at around 5:25 p.m. Crime scene tape could be seen in the parking lot outside the Dollar Tree at the location.
When they arrived, police found one person at the location and discovered that another was already at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. That person appeared to be in critical but stable condition, police said. The person at the scene was a second party to the incident.
