MARIETTA, Ga. -- Police in Cobb County say a man is behind bars after they say he targeted high-end homes for sale in order to steal kitchen ranges. Authorities are now looking for residents who may have been victims of the burglary suspect.
Authorities say 50-year-old Ronald Mark Clark of Woodstock, Ga. was behind multiple burglaries in the Marietta-area during which he forced open unoccupied homes and took kitchen ranges.
During one of the burglaries, a witness copied down a tag on a rental vehicle which led police to Clark.
When police searched his home, they found several notebooks which contained detailed information about high-end residences for sale and the kind of kitchen ranges inside. That led police to find a storage unit, where they found a stolen stove-top.
Police charged Clark with one count of 1st Degree Burglary.
Investigators are now asking anyone with information about residences that are or were for sale, and had a kitchen range stolen from it, to call police.
