Police: Woman’s car stolen with child inside at College Park gas station

Detectives are still searching for the person who stole the car.

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — A trip to the gas station became a frightening ordeal for one woman in Clayton County after her car was stolen with her young niece still inside.

The woman called police from the Quiktrip gas station on Riverdale Road in College Park after her car was stolen with her juvenile niece inside, on Feb. 24.

Officers with the Clayton County Police Department said that officers searched the area and found the car with the girl inside and unharmed.

Detectives have obtained a copy of the store’s surveillance footage and the case is still under investigation.
