Student earns a perfect score on the LSAT

Sarah Boyle, a junior at the University of Scranton, accomplished what only a small percentage of people do: she got a perfect score on a Law School Admissions Test.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Sarah Boyle, 20, is a junior at the University of Scranton and hopes to one day become a corporate lawyer. For the past 10 months, she's been studying for the Law School Admissions Test, known as the LSAT.

"The test is one of two factors to determine your law school admissions process. So it's a really big deal, so the stress of it is kind of over-consuming, I would say," said Sarah Boyle of Scranton.

Last month, Boyle took the LSAT. Not only did she do well, she scored a perfect 180.

"Coming out of it, I was feeling really confident, and I was even joking with people. I'm saying, 'Oh, I did perfect on that. I definitely got a 180', but it was all in-jokes and laughter, but when I actually found out, it was unbelievable," added Boyle.

Boyle says it felt a bit like the movie Legally Blonde, where the main character, Elle Woods, scores a 179 and gets accepted to Harvard Law and proves that she is smart enough to be a lawyer.

Boyle posted a video to TikTok about her achievement, with an audio clip from the movie and it went viral with more than one and a half million views. Boyle decided to use her newfound popularity on the social media platform to help others.

"I think offering free advice through my Tiktok is really beneficial, and then I also offer cheaper tutoring services so people can have access to it, and it means a lot to me, especially to my community, because I'm able to tutor some people here," said Boyle.

Having a perfect score puts Boyle in a perfect position for her future. Next year, she will continue her education to get her master's, hopefully going to law school and obtaining her CPA license.
