ATLANTA — "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" star Sierra Gates took to social media to say she has been hospitalized after getting a large leg tattoo.

Gates said in the video that she got a 'Monster Numb' tattoo from her stomach all the way down her leg in one day.

"I'm OK... It happens to the best of us," the reality star said on her Instagram story. "I was being hard-headed. I wanted this big tattoo at one time, and I should've waited."

She added the doctors told her she needed emergency care because of the numbing effect of the type of tattoo she got.

"It's like showing how good 'Monster Numb' is and how good it works," Gates said.

After posting an initial video about her tattoo experience, Gates took to social media again to defend her tattoo artist, Ace.

"I have said time after time that my tattoo artist is super good. Ace had done my back, he's done my shoulders," she said in her Instagram story. "He literally told me not to go so big on my tattoo."

After the experience, she warned people not to go big on their tattoos.

"I just wanted to say again, if you are going to do 'Monster Numb' and get your tattoos, do not get it crazy big like I did because when it numbs off, you're going to be in crazy pain," she said. "You're going to be so numb, you don't feel nothing... Yeah, it's going to hurt."
