ATLANTA -- An inmate escaped from the Federal Prison Camp in Atlanta on Friday, authorities said.
According to Tara Hollinger of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, officials discovered that 35-year-old Yancey Garringer was missing around 4 p.m.
Garringer was serving a federal sentence for drug-related charges. He had been at the prison camp since April. He was scheduled for release in June 2019.
The FBI, U.S. Marshals Service and local and state law enforcement authorities are searching for Garringer. Anyone who sees him is asked to contact local authorities.
