KENNESAW, Ga. -- A Covington man has been arrested after police said he began acting strangely on the campus of Kennesaw State University and was later found with a gun.

According to a criminal warrant filed on a charge of carrying weapons within a school safety zone, Kenneth Alvin Glover was arrested on Aug. 29. Police said they found Glover outside the commons dining hall at Kennesaw State where he was "displaying signs of being mentally unstable."

Glover's mother was also on the scene and told police that Glover suffers from bipolar disorder and was not on his medication. Officers then got in contact with a member of the university's Student Success Services and that person speak with Glover and calm him.

That employee later told police that Glover had "made comments about shooting people" - something made further concerning when officers searched his backpack and found a .45 caliber handgun.

Glover was handcuffed and taken to Ridgeview Institute, a psychiatric hospital in Smyrna, Georgia. On the way, the warrant states Glover "rambled on about 'killing people'" and alleged, "he was Jesus." Officers also claimed that he told them he was "known to stack bodies."

When asked if he had a carry permit for his gun, he told police that he didn't need one.
