Police search for missing teen in Clayton County

The search for Kathryn Leigh Newhouse has been classified as a Mattie's Call.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County officers are asking for help finding a missing teen who disappeared around noon on Saturday.

A spokesperson said that 17-year-old Kathryn Leigh Newhouse was last seen in the 1500 block of Plover Road. Newhouse is described as being about 6 feet 1 inch tall and 150 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a low haircut. Newhouse suffers from bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and autism.

Authorities didn't provide any details regarding the circumstances of Newhouse's disappearance but said that this is being treated as a Mattie's Call - Georgia's special missing person alert for the elderly or people with disabilities or conditions that might place them in danger.

Anyone with information that may help authorities locate Newhouse is asked to call Clayton County Police at 770-477-3550.
