The sheriff's office confirmed she was found safe Sunday night in Georgia, and didn't appear to have any injuries. Oakboro is about 46 miles east of Charlotte, North Carolina, and about 281 miles away from Atlanta.

She left the Charlotte area "on her own free will" and took a bus alone from Charlotte down to Atlanta, the sheriff's office said. She eventually walked into a restaurant and called 911, then Atlanta Police came to talk to her. Officials said it's not clear where she stayed while she was gone, but the sheriff's office does not suspect foul play.
