Police have released the name of a man found dead inside an Athens hotel room who apparently murdered with his three-year-old daughter and then committed suicide.
Mark Coronado, 49, was found inside a Hampton Inn hotel on Saturday afternoon. Police said Coronado left a note behind.
The actual causes of Coronado's and his daughter's death have not been released.
Police said Coronado's family is from Texas, but Coronado himself had a Winder address. The girl's mother has been notified, and police said she is distraught over her daughter's death.
Officers received a 911 call from the Hampton Inn on West Broad Street when managers were unable to gain entry into a room. The call came in around 1 pm.
