ATLANTA — A person riding a scooter was hit and killed by a MARTA bus, officials said Wednesday night.
According to a MARTA spokesperson, it happened around 10:20 p.m. as a bus entered the Arts Center Station loop.
Details are limited at this time. Atlanta Police said they are investigating the deadly pedestrian crash near 1255 W. Peachtree St. NE, which is near MARTA's Arts Center Station.
MARTA Police and bus operations supervisors are also on scene, working to learn more about what happened.
Officials said the bus loop will remain closed as authorities investigate. Buses are being redirected to a nearby bus stop on 15th Street.
