9 people treated for possible overdoses at popular Stone Mountain area tavern, police say

It happened at the Will Henry's Tavern on Thursday evening.

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — Three people were taken to the hospital, and six others were treated for a possible overdose at a popular area Stone Mountain tavern on Thursday evening, according to police.

It happened at Will Henry's Tavern, located on Rockbridge Road, around 7:45 p.m. when Gwinnett County Police responded to a medical call at the business.

The Gwinnett County Fire Department treated all nine people, but police said only three went to the hospital. Six others refused transport to the hospital.

Authorities added that they are working to determine who provided the substance that caused the possible overdose.

The department also added that they could not determine what the substance was without a lab confirmation, but police did say a witness told them that it could have been cocaine.

11Alive contacted Will Henry's Tavern on Friday, and they declined to comment.
