SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -- A Sandy Springs doctor who is wanted on a number of charges has been arrested in Florida.
Kelly Thrasher was taken into custody in Miami Wednesday night.

U.S. Marshals found Thrasher at a Days Inn in South Beach and arrested him without incident. Police said he had about $30,000 in cash in his possession. He is now being held at Miami's Metro West Detention Center, where he is awaiting extradition to Georgia.
Thrasher is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in his home and molesting a young girl during a slumber party. Earlier this year, he was charged with practicing medicine without a license.
The suspect was supposed to meet with Sandy Springs Police detectives on Monday, but failed to show. Investigators later determined he obtained a passport under a fake name. Thrasher now faces additional charges of forgery and identity fraud.
