ATLANTA -- Four months after purchasing the Fort McPherson Army Base, Tyler Perry gave his plans an official touch by putting a sign outside the entrance.

The sign, which reads "The Future Home of Tyler Perry Studios" was pictured in a Facebook post by the locally-based and internationally acclaimed actor, director and producer behind the "Madea"  series of movies as well as several well-known sitcoms.

Perry thanked his supporters, from the handful that showed up for his first day to millions that show their support now.

Perry said he plans to keep fans and supporters up-to-date on the studio's progress.
