Stripper arrested after alleged stalking leads to murder charges

Police in Forest Park say a jealous lover believed to be behind a double shooting that left one woman dead has been apprehended.

FOREST PARK, Ga. -- Police in Forest Park say a jealous lover behind a double shooting that left one woman dead has been apprehended.

Officials in Knox County, Tenn. said 23-year-old Tia Marie Dos Santos was arrested there for the murder of 30-year-old Claudette Duclos in Georgia.

According to police, Duclos was dating Jose Moore, who had a 3-year relationship with Dos Santos. Moore was shot in the arm and is recovering.

"I'm not sure on the timetable of how long they've been dating, but that could have been a tipping point," said Forest Park Police Major Chris Matson.

According to court records obtained by 11Alive News, Jose Moore filed several charges against Dos Santos just after they broke up back in May.

On May 16, Dos Santos went to the house on North Avenue in Forest Park where they once lived together to get her things.

On her way out, Moore told police Dos Santos shattered the driver's side rear window of his truck.

Just 2 hours later, Moore called police again saying Dos Santos came back to the house to get more belongings and this time shattered the front driver's side window.

Moore, shaken by the incidents, stayed with a friend.

Early the next morning he received a text message from Dos Santos saying, "I stopped by your home last night to retrieve some more of my property but you were not home, so I left you a nice present you are going to love."

Moore told police Dos Santos spray painted obscenities on his house.

Dos Santos was charged with stalking, criminal trespass and damage to property.

"Obviously, because of the prior stalking charges and so forth, she apparently didn't want to let go of the boyfriend," Matson said.

A month after the alleged damage, Dos Santos filed a hand-written lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend. The suit claims Moore injured her which impacted her career as a stripper.

Then things went quiet between the two for about 3 months - until this week.

Police said that Thursday night, Dos Santos went to Moore's house and shot him in the arm before turning the gun on Moore's new girlfriend and killing her.
