LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Police say a young girl who went missing after school Friday has been found safe.
Thirteen-year-old Simone Gonzalez was last seen at Moore Middle School on Lawrenceville Highway and while she was in attendance, she never returned home.
Late Sunday evening, officers assigned to the South Precinct were dispatched to an Asian restaurant on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road outside of Lawrenceville in reference to the missing child. After arriving they confirmed it was her.
Authorities do not believe she was taken without her will.
