TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — A Troup County student has passed nearly a week after a crash that left her and four others injured.

The county's coroner identified the victim as Mary Joy Moosman. She passed away from her injuries on May 20.

At this time, there are no further updates regarding the others injured.

According to GSP, troopers were dispatched to a serious injury crash in Troup County on Hogansville Road on May 16 at 12:30 p.m. A black 2008 Volkswagen Tiguan drove through an intersection after stopping at a stop sign on Whitfield Road. A white Ram Pickup towing utility trailer was traveling north on Hogansville Road.

Troup County School System confirmed last Friday that five students were in the Tiguan, and they all attended Troup County High School.

GSP said that the driver of the Tiguan failed to yield and was hit on the passenger side by the Ram 3500. The Tiguan was hit off the road, and two back passengers were ejected. Those passengers were airlifted to Grady Hospital and are currently listed in critical condition. The age of the passengers is unknown at this time.
