'That's my ride or die' | Couple married for over 30 years matches their clothes every day

Bobbi and Michael Thomas have been married for 33 years and show their true love every single day by wearing matching outfits for the last 14 years.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — One Port Arthur couple is in the spotlight on Valentine's Day for their eye catching fashion.

Bobbi and Michael Thomas have been married for 33 years and show their true love every single day by wearing matching outfits for the last 14 years.

They tell 12News they love being viewed as #couplegoals when they go out in public. They even wear matching pajamas.

"You know when somebody's for you. You know, it's a feeling," said Michael.

Their love story began in the early 90's and it was love at first sight for Bobbi and Michael.

"Do some work for her, and I think it was in the kitchen sink was stopped up. And I guess I did a pretty good job of unclogging the sink," Michael told 12News.

Michael says he fell in love with Bobbi's  love of God and the sparks grew into a lifelong flame.

"Yeah long haul, like them youngins say that's my ride or die. Patna. You know? Like them youngsters say. Now we just enjoy each other," said Michael.

They began wearing marching outfits 14 years ago and haven't stopped since.

"We get together and I say 'well what are you gonna wear?' and we go in our closet and pick out, and it's like an everyday thing," said Bobbi.

"I think way back when I bought me something she said 'you didn't get me nothing like that.' I said 'yeah you right.' and we just started buying our clothes," Michael said.

So, why did they continue to do it all these years?

"When God gives you a wife he gives you a good thing. You know and when we got married we became one. It was not two anymore. It's one," said Michael.

They match everywhere they go, including church.

"Pretty much everyday. Our pajamas match. So yeah. Sometimes you know we might not have the exact like this here. But it's still almost the same," Michael told 12News.

They often travel to Baytown, Houston and even Lake Charles to shop for their matching clothes.

"Got to the point if, I found something that's fitted me, and it didn't fit her, you know it doesn't work, we couldn't buy it. And you know vice versa. If the shoes don't fit me, and you know it fit her well we got to get another pair of shoes. We have to have the same shoes. It's fun!" said Michael.

People stop them to take pictures all the time. They want to invite anyone to stop by and say hi if you see the two love birds out and about.
