ATLANTA — After Trump and Biden dominated Super Tuesday races for Republican and Democratic parties in over 15 states, an Atlanta presidential candidate rose to the ranks in an opposing party.

Chase Oliver, who ran for Senate in Georgia in 2022, received 61.25% in the Oklahoma Libertarian primary, according to a release from the candidate.

Although the win increases Oliver's ranks, it is important to note that Libertarian candidates will be chosen at the national convention, which will choose the party's candidate on the official ballot, the release explained. Furthermore, primaries do not choose which candidate will run against other parties in the general election for the Libertarian party.

Each state will have its own Libertarian convention where they will choose delegates for the national convention, the release further explained.

The 38-year-old posted a message to X after the results.

Oliver beat his opponent Jacob Hornberger, who 38.75% of the vote after all precincts in the state reported their results.

In the Iowa Caucus, Oliver won the party in a victory in Presidential Straw Poll toward victory in January. The results were not official, but the Libertarian appeared to have 40.70% of the vote.

"In Oklahoma's first Libertarian Party presidential primary, I am honored to have been the victor. This is a clear signal that our message of free markets, self ownership, and localization of our politics is breaking through,” said Oliver.

He also topped the field on Super Tuesday Libertarian primary ballots in Massachusetts and North Carolina, and he was a certified write-in candidate in California, according to the release.

“In Oklahoma and across the country, I am dedicated to running a positive campaign that builds our party up while we tear the state down,” he added.
