Usher, who will perform the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, is a proud dad.

LAS VEGAS — For nearly three decades, Usher has been one of the biggest names in music, spinning unforgettable hits and showing off his legendary dance skills.

He's spoken gushingly about his children before, telling People they were the inspiration to his song "I Cry."

"There was a moment between a son and a father [in the movie] and it got to me — I started crying. So my kids, they look over at me and they're like, 'Are you crying?!'" he said in 2020. "I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm crying!' They're like, 'You cry?!' I'm like, 'Yeah, I cry, and it's okay to cry.' "

More about Usher and his family life

Usher first two children were born in 2007 and 2008 with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.

His eldest son, Usher V, carried on the naming tradition passed down to Usher himself. His second son is Naviyd.

Usher V, now 16, goes by "Cinco" Usher has said because the son wants to chart his own path from the fame of the Usher name.

Usher's two other children, with his partner Jenn Goicoechea, were born more recently. Those are his first daughter, Sovereign, who was born Sept. 24, 2020, and his third son, Sire, born nearly a year to the day later on Sept. 29, 2021.

Usher occasionally posts tributes to his kids on his Instagram page.

"2 out of 4 reasons I do it for LOVE ❤️❤️❤️❤️" he wrote in a March 29, 2023 post that featured Sovereign and Sire.
