FOREST PARK, Ga. — Multiple lanes are closed on Interstate 75 south in Clayton County near the Atlanta airport on Thursday afternoon after a tractor-trailer appeared to have crashed into a woodline.
11Alive's SkyTracker flew over the scene which showed two of the four lanes closed on the right side of the interstate. An ambulance and several fire trucks were also spotted on the scene.
The wreck happened just before the exit to Forest Parkway in Forest Park and is creating extensive backups on I-75 south around the airport.
It's unsure at this time how many vehicles were involved in the crash and how the 18-wheeler ended up in the woods, but 11Alive is working to learn more information.
The incident is expected to delay traffic until at least 7 p.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
