One dead after 5-vehicle crash on I-75 in Henry County, police say

Here's what we know.

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead following a crash involving multiple tractor-trailers in Henry County on Interstate 75, according to Henry County Police on Tuesday morning. 

GDOT said the crash happened in the southbound lanes just before the Jonesboro Road exit, and several emergency vehicles are at the scene. 

Henry County Police posted on X at 7:35 a.m. that there was "one confirmed fatality at this time." 

The interstate was shut down for much of the morning as officers investigated and crews worked to clear the scene. 

In total, Henry County Police say five vehicles were involved. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Sarah Rogers from Lawrenceville.

Police say several other people involved in the crash had non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said they are still looking into what caused the crash in the first place.
