Already 2 feet of snow in upstate New York from the lake effect snow storm

Several spots in Erie county reported over 3 feet of snow piling up from the weekend lake effect snow storm.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Storm lake effect snow totals from Saturday into Monday morning over the past weekend exceeded 3 feet for some locations.

The lake effect snow storm snow totals from the last round show (National Weather Service):

  • Lancaster 30"

  • Buffalo Airport 8" on January 14th, which broke the old daily record snowfall amount of 7.8 inches set back in 1963 on this date, according to the National Weather Service.
