We are in a hot and humid airmass. A weak system will approach Tuesday that will help to trigger a few more scattered thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening.
We will be watching those storms very closely. There is a low risk that a few of those could turn severe. The Storm Prediction Center has an area roughly along I-20 and northward in a "marginal" or level 1 of 5 risk for some isolated storms. If any develop, the main threats would be damaging wind, small hail, heavy rain and frequent lightning.
We are in a summer-like pattern that will continue with a chance for showers and thunderstorms each day this week. The rain chances will vary, ranging from 50% Monday, 40% Tuesday, 60% Thursday then down to 20% Friday and Saturday.
Temperatures will also remain hot. We will have mid to upper 80s through Thursday, then lower 90s for Friday and the weekend.
