We are starting off Saturday with fairly warm conditions and fog in places under a mostly cloudy sky accompanied by a few showers.
For this afternoon, expect only a few peaks of sunshine with temperatures rising into the 70s as scattered showers and storms move across the region. Some storms could be strong.
Our severe risk in north Georgia is rated at a marginal, or a level one out of five. A higher risk for severe weather is expected into part of middle and south Georgia.
Expect the highest chance for rain on Saturday to occur for the middle to late afternoon.
Tonight, temperatures will fall to the 60s with rain chances lowering later in the evening and into tomorrow morning.
For Sunday, lows will be in the 60s and highs in the 80s as we deal with a few isolated showers and storms into the afternoon, but drier conditions move in for Sunday evening.
We will be drier for Monday through Wednesday with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky.
We will get a slight chance for rain back in the forecast on Thursday with a mostly cloudy sky as lows sit in the 60s and highs in the 80s.
Slight chances for rain remain on Friday with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s under a partly cloudy sky.
Expect less than an inch of rain to occur across north Georgia this next week with a majority of rain occurring over the next 48 hours.
