Forecast | A Perfect Mother's Day Weekend

Dry air and no rainfall makes for a great weekend all-round

ATLANTA —

Quick Forecast:

Tonight: Clear skies. Cooler and comfortable. Low: 54°.
Saturday: A comfortably cool start. Sunny, breezy and beautiful. High: 77°.
Sunday: Refreshingly cool start. Partly cloudy and pleasant. High: 80°.
Monday: Increasing cloudiness. High: 76°.

Discussion:

Dry weather moves back in and hangs around for the entire weekend. With low humidity, it'll be an all around fantastic weekend to spend some time outdoors.

Mornings will be comfortable and cool. Afternoons will be bright and mild to warm. But we'll keep higher humidity and storms out of the picture from start to finish.

For tonight, temperatures will fall back to the 50s under a mostly clear sky. After the cool start, breezy northwest winds reinforce the dry air in place. Highs reach the mid to upper 70s with sunshine.

Mother's Day starts in the 50s as well and highs climb to around 80.

Unfortunately, our stretch of dry weather ends for Tuesday as scattered showers and storms return to the forecast.

Behind the storms, temperatures won't fall off again with Thursday bringing lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s under a partly cloudy sky. Rain chances return again next Friday.
