Here's which areas have a frost advisory in metro Atlanta

Temperatures drop into the mid-30s.

MARIETTA, Ga. — For the first night of Spring, cold temperatures return to north Georgia. Although it will not be as cold as Monday night or early Tuesday, parts of north Georgia could see frost formation early Wednesday.

The following West Georgia counties are under a Frost Advisory from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning: Bartow, Carroll, Chattanooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Coweta, Douglas, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Heard, Meriwether, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, and Troup.

In these areas, temperatures could drop to 33° to 36° early Wednesday. With clear skies and light winds, frost could form.

This frost could damage or kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered. If you have tender flowers and buds that are susceptible to frost, cover them up with a blanket or sheet.

Low temperatures in Atlanta and the east side of the metro should be a couple of degrees warmer. We are forecasting lows around 40° for the city early Wednesday. Outlying suburbs on the east side of town will be in the mid to upper 30s.

Lows in mountain valleys could also fall to the low and mid-30s in northeast Georgia.

After a chilly first night of spring, the next couple of days will bring slightly milder nights and afternoons.
