East Point Fire revives old tradition for upcoming holiday

The Santa Ride returns to the streets of East Point after a 13-year hiatus.

EAST POINT, Ga. — The East Point Fire Department will be spreading holiday cheer with the return of its Santa Ride Along.

It'll happen on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.

During the Ride Along, Santa will travel the streets of East Point in a Fire Truck, and visit children at a central location where "Santa" will distribute toys and gifts. 

Families and children will be able to visit Santa at the following locations:

  • Sumner Park - 1889 Lexington Avenue
  • Jefferson Gym - 1431 Norman Berry Drive
  • Rantin Park - 2680 Harmony Way
  • Dollar General - 3492 Washington Road
  • Williamsburg - 2995 West Potomac Avenue

The East Point Fire Department will be accepting toy donations at the following fire stations listed below up until Dec. 21:

  • Fire Station #2 at 3171 Norman Berry Drive, East Point, GA. 30344
  • Fire Station #3 at 3800 North Commerce Drive, East Point, GA. 30344
  • Fire Station #4 at 2222 Ben Hill Road, East Point, GA. 30344

Toys can be dropped off from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
