DECATUR, Ga. — A man was shot and killed late Tuesday night in Decatur, police said.
It happened just before midnight along Atlanta Avenue, the City of Decatur Police Department said in a Facebook post.
The department said officers were called to the 700 block of Atlanta Avenue after a person shot call came in, and there they located "an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound."
"The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The case is currently actively being investigated by the Decatur Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. There was no identifying information available about the victim or a possible suspect.
