1 hurt after dispute leads to shooting outside DeKalb Waffle House, police say

Authorities responded around 5:45 a.m. to the shooting at the Waffle House at 2963 Lawrenceville Hwy in Tucker, Georgia.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A dispute outside of a Waffle House in DeKalb County led to a man being shot Monday morning, according to the police department. 

Authorities responded around 5:45 a.m. to the shooting at the Waffle House at 2963 Lawrenceville Hwy in Tucker, Georgia. 

"The victim and suspect were involved in a dispute outside the location that turned physical. The suspect then produced a gun and shot the victim," DeKalb Police said in a statement.

A man was taken to the hospital in stable condition and the suspect ran away before officers arrived, according to the police department.

DeKalb Police said their investigation remains ongoing.
