GAINESVILLE, Ga. — A Gwinnett County teen is critically injured after a shooting at an apartment complex in Gainesville on Saturday afternoon, police said.
According to the Gainesville Police Department, officers responded to a shooting at Ridgecrest Apartments. Police said that a 16-year-old from Gwinnett County allegedly traveled to the area for what investigators have described as criminal activity.
During this, police said that the teenager was shot in the head by an unknown suspect or suspects. The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital, where he is in critical condition, police said.
It is currently unknown what the alleged criminal activity was or how many people may have been involved.
