DALLAS, Ga. — Paulding County officials have released the names of two men involved in a deadly confrontation at a Dallas home in the Powder Mills subdivision on Sunday.
Chad Thomas Boltz, 25, was found dead with several gunshot wounds at the home on Mill Lane. The other man, who was stopped by police, has been identified as 25-year-old Jeremy Dawan Weatherspoon. He failed to stop at a traffic stop while leaving the home and was pulled over. When the vehicle stopped, Weatherspoon fell out and was bleeding severely from a stab wound. He was transported to an Atlanta-area hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives said Boltz and Weatherspoon were involved in some sort of fight and Weatherspoon was stabbed and Boltz shot to death, according to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. Officers are interviewing witnesses who were also at the residence to figure out what happened and why.
At this time, detectives do not believe any other suspects were involved, according to police
