DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Crews responded to a scene in DeKalb County where a 14-year-old was shot at an apartment complex Monday evening, according to authorities.
The Decatur Police Department said officers responded just before 5:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of Oakview Road in reference to the shooting. They claim the injury was "self-inflicted" but didn't elaborate further.
The young teen was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
No other details have been released.
