Victim life-flighted to hospital after being stabbed at Walmart in Griffin, police say

GRIFFIN, Ga. — A person was stabbed at a Walmart in Griffin Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Griffin Police said officers were called out to the Walmart Supercenter at 1569 North Expressway around 2 p.m. in response to a domestic dispute.

Police said one person was stabbed in the argument at the Walmart. It's unsure if it happened inside the store or in the parking lot.

The victim was life-flighted to a local hospital, where they are in stable condition, according to police. A suspect, who police said knew the victim, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

An 11Alive viewer sent in images of the scene that showed a medical helicopter in the parking lot before taking off and taking the victim to the hospital.
