ATLANTA — Two women were stabbed in the Vine City neighborhood of Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person stabbed off Maple Drive NW right before 3:20 p.m. The location looks to be around an apartment complex across Northside Drive and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
When they arrived, they found two women with stab wounds. One was sent to the hospital in critical condition, and the second was also sent to the hospital but was alert and breathing, police said.
Police said that preliminary information suggest that the stabbing was from a verbal altercation that became physical.
Atlanta Police investigators responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. This is an ongoing investigation.
