WOODSTOCK, Ga. — Police in Woodstock have identified and secured warrants for individuals in connection with a string of more than two dozen vehicle break-ins since April.

According to Woodstock Police, in April, multiple cars were entered in the Cornerstone subdivision, where one vehicle was also stolen.

Investigators working on that particular set of crimes were able to identify 17-year-old Kartier Jenkins of Stone Mountain as the suspect involved. Jenkins is charged with eight counts of entering auto, two counts of felony theft by taking and one count of criminal trespass.

In May, Woodstock Police said numerous additional entering auto incidents were reported in the Deer Run and River Park subdivisions.

Police investigators said they were able to identify a group responsible for this set of incidents. In addition, investigators said the same group was also responsible for two stolen vehicles in other states.

Investigators identified the ringleader of this particular group as 23-year-old William Freeman of Hixson, Tenn. Freeman has been charged with 13 counts of entering auto, two counts of criminal attempt to enter auto, six counts of financial transaction theft, two counts of felony theft by taking-firearm and two counts of motor vehicle theft.

Police said the investigation into Freeman's juvenile accomplices is still ongoing and additional charges are expected.

On June 10, three vehicles were broken into at a local gym, followed by three more vehicles on June 17, police said.

According to investigators, the suspects involved in those break-ins have been identified as 24-year-old Ricky White of Conyers and 24-year-old Okori Allen of Union City.

White has been charged with 25 felony counts of entering auto, criminal damage to property, financial transaction card fraud and financial transaction card theft. Allen has been charged with 15 counts of entering auto, criminal damage to property, financial transaction card fraud and financial transaction card theft.

“I’m very proud of the team's hard work and dedication in solving these crimes," said Woodstock Police Chief Calvin Moss. "We hope that this will send a message to criminals that if they come to Woodstock to commit crimes, they will be caught.”
