Elementary school worker arrested after allegations of misconduct

The employee is currently on administrative leave with pay, school officials said.

LITHONIA, Ga. — A DeKalb County School District employee was arrested this week after allegations of misconduct.

In a statement to 11Alive, the school district said the employee worked at Flat Rock Elementary and was removed from the classroom on March 27.

The district didn't go into details about the allegations. However, they did say the employee was arrested after a warrant was issued on April 9.

The school district also confirmed the worker is on administrative leave with pay. Below is the full state from the district:

The safety of our students and staff remains a top priority at DeKalb County School District. An employee at Flat Rock Elementary was removed from the classroom on Wednesday, March 27 following allegations of misconduct. Following the outcome of an investigation, and the reopening of the district from Spring Break, he was placed under arrest with an official warrant on Tuesday, April 9.
