ATLANTA — A person is now dead and another was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car near a popular Buckhead lounge on Sunday, according to Atlanta Police.
It happened at 11:25 p.m. at 264 Pharr Road, which is near Blue Lounge. Police said that a sedan traveling eastbound on Pharr Road hit two people walking from the north side of the road to the south side of the road.
When medical personnel arrived on the scene, they found one of the pedestrians dead and took the other to the hospital, who authorities said is in "stable condition."
The driver stayed on the scene and spoke with officers. Police are still investigating the deadly incident.
