“I still feel the shock of it all," he said over the phone Thursday morning.

Kinney told 11Alive that numerous things were taken, including electronics, Olympic mementos and family heirlooms. He said while electronics and other valuables can be replaced, he desperately wants his items from the Olympics and those that belonged to his grandmother returned.

“My TV and photography equipment can be replaced; I don’t care so much about that. The Olympic memorabilia and my grandmother’s heirlooms are the things that have the most value to me," he said. “I just want those priceless items back.”

Those items from the Olympics included his Opening Ceremony jacket from the 2018 PyeongChang Games, his Olympic ring and more bobsledding memorabilia. Kinney was on a Team USA four-man bobsled team in 2018, and he also has Olympic memorabilia from the 2022 Beijing Games and 2021 Tokyo Games, which he traveled to through his work with the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Kinney told 11Alive he's hoping if anyone has any information about those items, his grandmother's possessions or sees anything for sale somewhere, that they can flag them for authorities and get them returned. Kinney and his grandmother are especially close.

Kinney said it happened at 2:39 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 23 -- information he was able to obtain from a personal camera inside his apartment.

The apartment is located at the 2200 Big Creek Apartments complex in Roswell.

Police are now looking for this individual who was caught on the camera.
