DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A deadly motorcycle crash has a portion of the I-85 northbound lanes blocked, according to DeKalb County Police.
Traffic cameras from the Georgia Department of Transportation show emergency crews on the scene in the area.
Police said around 8:05 p.m., they responded to the crash on I-85 North, north of I-285. When they arrived, they found a man dead who had been thrown from a motorcycle.
"Initial information indicates another vehicle had collided with the motorcycle and then continued northbound without stopping," police said. "Investigators with our Traffic Specialist Unit are responding to the scene to further the investigation."
All northbound lanes are blocked in the area. Drivers are being told to use alternate routes to avoid delays. Traffic is being diverted onto I-285 at this time.
