Atlanta school board election results

The Atlanta Board of Education is the governing body of Atlanta Public Schools.

ATLANTA — Voters are casting their ballot for board of education seats in Atlanta on Tuesday. These leaders are the governing body of Atlanta Public Schools and work to keep the public informed about district operations.

The board is made up of nine seats: six district seats that represent geographical locations and three at-large seats that are elected citywide. All board members are elected to serve four-year terms. The board will elect a chair and vice-chair every two years.

Polls close at 7 p.m. This story will be updated with the unofficial results for the Nov. 7 election as the numbers roll in. Results must be certified by Georgia's Secretary of State Office.
