ATLANTA — As Jimmy Carter celebrates his 99th birthday Sunday, well-wishes are coming in from all over.
That included one very special birthday message from a longtime friend and colleague - the current president of the United States.
President Joe Biden posted a video message to social media to wish Carter, the 39th president, a happy birthday.
"Mr. President, happy birthday pal," the message began. "I've known a lot of presidents, as you have. But I admire you because you have such incredible integrity, character, and determination. One of the smartest things I ever did, you may remember, I was the first senator that ever endorsed you because I knew who you were. And you haven't changed a bit. You've never stopped. And I consider it a great honor to know you and to have worked with you. And I just hope I can be one half the president you've been. God love you. Happy birthday, pal."
